Antibodies are those chemical substance which attach to the alien agent like viruses, bacteria etc. in the body. They target specific antigen of the invading alien agent. Both antigen and antibody has “Y” structure at their tips. Just like a lock has single key, there is specific antibody for specific antigen. Opioid receptor or also called sigma receptors. Antibodies related this sigma receptors are sigma antibody. There are several such antibodies, which are made from different hosts and have different applications. There are two types of it monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. Monoclonal antibodies are those, which are produced from same type of immune cells, and they are the clones of same parent cells. Whereas, polyclonal are produced from different immune cells. Let’s see few examples of sigma antibodies.
- Anti-14-3-3 sigma antibody: this is mouse clonal cell. They are reactive to mouse and humans. Their applications are western blot, Immunology chemistry etc.
- Sigma-1 Receptor Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody: This rabbit polyclonal. They are reactive to mouse and rats. Their application is western blot.
